Jes Halterman, Waterbury

Trained as both a potter and a printmaker, I currently split time between the studio and the woods with Vermont State Parks. I’m fascinated by rhythm and patterns both in the studio and the woods alike. I am especially excited by contrasts; when something that is physically hard looks soft, things that are still are flowing. Often you will find secrets hidden in my work such as constellations among the stars or
fibonacci spirals in the flowers.  I believe we should push ourselves in all things and sometimes the things that don’t work lead us to our greatest discoveries.
